Leon County, FL GPS Densification
NCG performed a Geodetic Control Survey for the Leon County, Florida GPS Densification Project.

FDEM 2007 LiDAR Mapping Control, State of Florida Panhandle
NCG performed a Geodetic Control Survey throughout NW Florida to use in updating regional evacuation studies for the State of Florida.

Jordan Dam, Wetumpka, AL
NCG performed GPS Surveying Services for 3001, Inc. by establishing Primary Control (Aerial Targets) and LiDAR Checkpoints for Alabama Power Jordan Dam Project.

NCG has provided GPS Control Surveys for the past twenty years beginning with the original Leon County, Florida GPS Control Network by Hobbs & Associates in 1988, by supplying crews, establishing control points and observing control stations with GPS equipment.

NCG has worked with National Geodetic Survey (NGS) on the recent adjustment to the Florida High Accuracy Reference Network (HARN) by providing NGS with control point GPS observation data.

NCG completed Gadsden, Calhoun and Leon Counties’ (Florida) First-order GPS Horizontal Survey Control projects submitted to NGS for incorporation into the NGS Survey Data Base.  Projects submitted must meet requirements outlined in the guide, “Input Formats and Specifications of the National Geodetic Survey Data Base,” also known as the “Blue Book.”  “Blue Booked” projects must incorporate standards that conform to various geodetic publications as listed in this Policy for data format, data accuracy, monumentation and field records.

NCG has provided GPS surveying services for LiDAR mapping projects by setting aerial targets and photo-identifiable points, establishing primary and secondary control and collecting LiDAR checkpoints.  GPS enables NCG to reference projects to State Plane and Geodetic coordinate systems, and defined Vertical datums, faster, more accurately, and more cost-effectively than by conventional surveying methods.
